ooh! goodies!!

Some of that gk-ness gets expressed through toying with digital accoutrements such as appear below. (My Web-dev friends would be horrified to learn that I've purchased a copy of Flash 8...) Please share suggestions and comments about what you'd like to see.

iconThis is the icon file that, depending on the browser you use, appears in the address bar or is associated with a "favorites" shortcut. A different version is also available. It looks good in Windows®, but doesn't look so hot in a tiny browser address bar.
screensaversThis is a simple screensaver using various elements of content mentioned or pictured in the site. I also have another in the same style as the original, but which incorporates RSS feeds. (Click a link to download the setup program.)
fontsThe two fonts to complete the design of the site. They are freely distributable fonts (according to the Microsoft® Typography division's WEFT tool) that should be familiar to users of Microsoft Office® products. (Click the link to download the .zip. Use the Fonts applet in the Windows Control Panel to install the fonts after you have extracted them from the archive. )
desktop backgroundDesktop background, you ask? Yeah... we got that. Piled high with gray, orange and silver in 1280x1024, just like momma used to make. (After clicking the link, right-click on the image and select "Save As..." (or similar text) to save a copy to your computer.) click here to learn how the browser-specific 'Save As...' statement was coded
cellphone backgroundA background image for cell phones with 176x220 screens, such as the Motorola® SLVR. (See cheesy screen mockup). Why? Um... because you're cool like that? (After clicking the link, right-click on the image and select "Save As..." (or similar text) to save a copy to your computer.) click here to learn how the browser-specific 'Save As...' statement was coded
