According to Kiva.org, Ma-Oretha is 53 years old and lives in Kakata, the capital city of Margibi County, which has the highest number of rubber plantations in Liberia. She is married with four children aged between 16 and 27 years old, only one of whom lives at home and attends school. Ma-Oretha was unable to attend school. She has been involved in business for the past 6 years and presently she is selling red oil in the local market. She started this business with money given to her by her mother and learned this trade from her mother. She is requesting a loan to purchase more red oil for her business. Her future plan is to build a house.
Her loan was fully funded, and she is repaying the loan.
